just few details

Conceptual art work

Why should we do conceptual art work if we cannot eat it at least?
this piece is made of roasted cabbage, it was made at 6 PM, show to the public at 7PM, reheated at 10PM and eaten at 10PM10 - the work that existed only 4 hours and 10 minutes and it was delicious.

the productive days!

I had some black and white acrylic colors standing around for so long, so I decided to do something with them!

those days

Do you have those days when you just do not want to do anything? Today is such a day. This day is such a day! I decided to listen to some good old school music and to paint. Maybe I will do something else, but still why do we have those days? They are just so, fu^^ing boring! Hope that Led Zeppelin can change that!

Greetings and c U!

Dust in the wind!

few years ago I started a podcast, so I quietly did not blog so often any more. and like dust in the wind everything changes and so I want to blog more (let us say) again.not only because I stopped to podcast (for the moment). like in the beginning I am in front of a PC (I hate PC - MAC is so much better) and it is a PC "in french". I love france and french people but the computer should be the RIGHT way and not the french way - it is so annnnoying to get to use to it!

whatever. let's blog again!!!!

Still - life 1

In French it is called "nature mort" (dead nature) - the still-life is just an other term for it. Here is my own conceptual work about the REAL dead nature and what we can do with time and biology!

It is amazing what the nature is capable of. Take few minutes and take a good look at this little thing I took with my Nikon - what do you think this is? During the next few weeks I will show you few other examples of "death nature" - literally what I did was experimenting with the rooting and drying methods of sliced fruits and vegetables, their transformation in the complete dark or in a sunny place, there changes in cold environment or hot environment and the big challenge now is how to stop the process and to preserve it for the future without using additives that will change the aspect of the object and without storing it in a box?
If you have some ideas or experiments on this subject please contact me on dzennan@gmx.net...
Enjoy and cheers

Paperwork

Not everything we do is art, but the most of it is fun. Some times it is something more commercial for sale and sometimes it is just us playing around.  Here is some playing around with some papers, an old frame and some colors I use in conservation for imitating patinas and gilding.

Enjoy!

Some new graphics...

The first few graphics are made with motives from paintings of the great Chinese painter Mr. Lou Dahua. If you want to find out more about him - click here. The last 3 are random. Enjoy!
