Imad is a name from a friend of us and all erasmus people that come to visit Avignon ;). Imad make wall paintings (FRESCO) and this woman is in one of his old wall paintings. I just have let me inspired me by it...

once more before 2009

So, the year is almost finish... But some of us are still not ;) This year I get to meet very interesting people and to find out about a lot of stuff (probably I will not use any of those things in my life, but who knows...)
One of the highlights this year was the discovery of a very young but great Norwegian singer Maria Mena (here is also the link to her blog)...

I will maybe make an artwork and dedicated it to her next year, because I really like her music...
(I do not do ofter publicity :) ... but this time it should be)...

Just carrying on...happy 50st!

What makes me keep going on?

Today is a very gray day. Not black enough to grow a great depression, but not white nether to be sunny, happy, people shinning. It was just another gray day! But it is also somehow my 50st anniversary. Not my age, but my art-works-competition tryings...

Few seconds ago I got again a decline to a competition I try to participate, but it was not my first one, nether my second... no, it is since I make art-works my 50st one...

So, have I to ask myself if any of my art-works are actually worth anything? It is hard, is it worth to carry on? I am not afraid of what they say... one of us (me or them) will understand one day! All objectivities is gone, but still I am carrying on. And the truth is on witch site?

Finally who cares!!!
I am actually everywhere, probably not in the Guggenheim or "le Louvre", but still you can find me in many places! Probably nether on a juried competition art exhibition, but you can find me on the internet...

And I will carry on, because I know that I am right, even then when I am wrong ;)
But I know, and I knew it when I started all this, that what ever I want in my life, it won`t be the satisfaction of a suicide try, and the red patch (mark) from my head on a wall in a gallery, that I hit trying to kill myself, because then some critics could interpret this patch as an art-work and my suicide try as a performance and if I would have the luck to die in trying this it could be fatal and I could become really famous!!!

Sorry, but not like this and who actually want to become famous...? If I wanted to became I would have become a guitar player with a spot on MTV, with some money for nothing and some chicks for free ;)

So for now on, I will carry on and finish this gray day with some color. Maybe green!

when I was little (about 16) I wrote a tons of poems for the imaginary girl I was waiting for. Now I am working in my free time to rewrite all of those poems and to post it on a blog, that I will open (the poetry blog - old poems) for example....

You don' t have to like it, neither to understand it, you do not even have to accept it as an art-work, because I do!

You actually never can tell!

The best work is the simple one! Actually it is with everything in the life. The best recipes in the world are simple, the best music, the best poems... and so the best art works, too..

I guess for me it was! But is it a good piece of art, because it is a simple one? You actually never can tell! I will again repeat myself and stay at my statement - YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! You choose, yes you can! Because if you let me choose for you, than yes Sir, it is a very good piece of art!

Something to read about it

Today I found something on the Internet (actually it is an article about a friend of mine and a good performance artist - Ervin Babić) - It is in Bosnian language (Serbo-Croat) and you can find it by following this link - http://www.zarez.hr/228/kazaliste1.html.

In this article the writer (author) Suzana Marjanić from the Croatian papers "Zarez" has interviewed Ervin and in one of her questions she is quoting from one of my articles from this blog (http://dzennan.blogspot.com/2007/01/brilliant-mind-o7.html). Like the most reporters do, she took a little part from a large text, embroider and interpret it to pose one of her questions to my friend. Even if I think that the interview and the article has been quite well written (done), there are still few things I personally learned from it.

First of all - Yes there are people reading our blogs, and some may cited and invoke some parts, but it is just sad that we do have to explain how we grow and evolute with the time, with every entry, with every post a little bit more an yes during this process we change our perspective, sometimes even our beliefs... The more we know, the more we realized our "unknowingness" and our unawareness.

For my part I am thankful to the reporter Suzana Marjanić reading my blog, even when it was probably just for this time, because she did her homework preparing for the interview, but also for showing me that I actually do have to re-explain myself sometimes again and to not to write anything in my blog!

Rodinia, Gondwana and Laurussia , Pannotia, Pangaea...but before that our whole universe was in a hot dense state, then nearly 14 billion years ago expansion started..."late"!

From our point of view - Europa, Africa, Asia, America...and all this started with the forming of every galaxy that actually took less time than to write this post...or to sing the originally song!!!

The earth began to cool,
the autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools...
we build a wall! we build the pyramids...
math, science, history,
unraveling the mystery, that all started with the bing bang!

and of course an experimentation work of a physicist!

Atelier SARAJEVO

Halo to everyone,

I am working since few years with some friends of mine (Mr.Branka Turkić and Mr.Maja Zmukić) in cooperation with a woman named Kathi Stockinger with children. We call ourselves "Atelier Sarajevo". Few days ago I found out that Kathi has won a big prise by mobilcom Austria for a project of Atelier Sarajevo (http://www.inos.at/projekte/mobilcom_award08.htm) - so actually we have won it all, but it is like always interesting that she has taken the price (we know now that she works for inos (Initiative Osteuropa)) from Kofi Annan and Boris Nemsić and there was NO mention of our names (Dzenan Šehić, Branka Turkić and Maja Zmukić) - not even few little words that we have actually made this project (Coloure talks)...
